Finance Manager – DRC Operations

About the role

The Manager/Sr. Manager – Finance will lead day‑to‑day finance and accounting operations for Shalina’s business in the DRC, covering financial planning, budgeting, business partnering, treasury, statutory compliance, and internal controls. The role works closely with OU leadership and the central finance team to drive financial discipline, profitability, cash‑flow efficiency, and compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with OU leadership and commercial teams to provide financial insights, prepare budgets, forecasts and monitor performance against plan.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial closing, prepare P&L, balance sheet, cash‑flow statements and management reports.
• Manage daily funds, cash‑flow forecasts, working capital, foreign‑exchange settlements and banking relationships.
• Oversee statutory filing, tax returns, annual accounts and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Maintain internal controls across AP, AR, procurement, inventory and cash management, and develop SOPs.
• Lead and develop the local finance team while collaborating with central finance and cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field; MBA or professional qualification (CA/ICWA/ACCA) is a plus.
• 15+ years of finance controller experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG or similar industries, preferably in African markets.
• Proven leadership experience managing finance and accounting functions.
• Extensive experience with ERP systems such as SAP and advanced financial reporting.
