Finance & Support Services Manager – DRC

About the role

The Finance and Support Services Manager will join the senior management team of MAG’s Democratic Republic of Congo programme, reporting directly to the Country Director. The role provides strategic leadership for finance, HR, logistics, procurement, IT, fleet and stores, ensuring all support functions operate efficiently and in line with donor requirements and organisational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee finance, HR, logistics, procurement, IT, fleet and stores functions across the DRC programme.
• Design, implement and continuously improve systems and processes to meet MAG policies, good practice and donor guidelines.
• Manage the Deputy Finance Manager, Logistics Manager and HR Assistant, providing coaching and performance oversight.
• Prepare accurate, timely financial and operational reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with donor regulations, health and safety, and safeguarding standards.

Required profile

• Significant overseas experience in the NGO sector, with senior‑level responsibility for finance and support services.
• Proven people‑management capability and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet reporting deadlines and build effective relationships with project stakeholders.
• Fluency in both French and English is essential.

Required skills

• Knowledge of donor‑funded financial management and reporting standards.
• Understanding of logistics, procurement and HR processes in humanitarian contexts.
• Familiarity with MAG policies, safeguarding procedures and compliance requirements.
