Freight Officer – Consolidation

About the role

The Consolidation Freight Officer supports UPS’s air shipment operations by handling pricing, consolidation, and communication with airlines, service providers, and internal teams. This role ensures shipments are booked according to customer requirements and regulatory standards while resolving any service issues that arise.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate and consolidate booking requests with airlines based on customer SOPs.
• Verify compliance with airline and destination regulations for each shipment.
• Utilize internal systems to process booking requests across multiple functions.
• Coordinate with trucking vendors, airport terminals, and airline agents.
• Track cargo and manage issues such as damage, delays, or missing items.
• Handle pricing and quotation requests with airlines and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• College graduate; a degree in International Trade is preferred.
• 3‑5 years of experience in trading, forwarding, or related logistics functions.
• Strong interpersonal, coordination, and communication abilities.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a “can‑do” mindset.
• Fluent in English (spoken, written, reading, listening).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
