Funding & Reporting Manager

About the role

The Funding & Reporting Manager links African Parks Congo’s strategic objectives with operational delivery and the donor community. Based at Garamba National Park, the role ensures the effective, compliant implementation of the park’s francophone grant portfolio and high‑quality donor reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the francophone grant portfolio (EU, Okapi Fund, others), tracking progress, ensuring timely reporting and mitigating risks.
• Collaborate with the Finance Department to allocate donor funds correctly, monitor activity burn rates and uphold contractual provisions.
• Maintain regular communication with donors, handle incident reporting, and support participation in donor steering committees and programme review meetings.
• Represent the park in APN quarterly fundraising calls, providing updates on grant implementation, risks and new opportunities.
• Update institutional donor tracking platforms and support APN fundraising teams in developing new funding proposals.
• Oversee Monitoring & Evaluation services to align data collection, verification and reporting with donor requirements and park management needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing francophone grant portfolios, especially EU‑funded projects.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance, reporting standards and risk mitigation.
• Ability to work closely with finance, project and senior management teams.
• Experience in monitoring, evaluation and data‑driven reporting.
• Excellent communication skills for donor liaison and internal coordination.
