Global Information Management Officer

About the role

The Global Information Management Officer will support HALO’s programmes across the Indo‑Pacific region by designing, developing and maintaining information management and GIS systems. Based in a HALO office in the region, the role involves frequent travel to field sites and collaboration with global and local IM teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define information requirements, data flows, and quality assurance/quality control procedures.
• Design, develop and manage databases and ETL/ELT tools.
• Create and test data collection forms using Esri ArcGIS (Survey123) or alternative platforms.
• Develop and maintain IM standard operating procedures and guidelines.
• Provide technical support to programme teams and ensure data integrity across multiple countries.
• Attend meetings across time zones, including evenings, and travel to programmes as needed.

Required profile

• Currently residing in an Indo‑Pacific country.
• Proven experience in information management and GIS within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel regularly.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to data quality.

Required skills

• Esri ArcGIS Survey123 (or similar GIS data collection tools).
• Database design and management.
• ETL/ELT tool implementation.
• Data QA/QC processes.
