Head of Technical and Logistics DRC

About the role

The Head of Technical and Logistics will lead day‑to‑day technical operations for Mobile Power DRC, overseeing installation, maintenance and logistics of MOPO energy hubs across the country. This field‑focused position requires extensive travel and the ability to manage teams in challenging environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain all components of MOPO energy hubs.
• Travel nationwide with installation teams to ensure effective operation of hubs.
• Develop and implement both international and domestic logistics plans.
• Coordinate with clearing agents and government bodies to import equipment into the DRC.
• Train, develop and retain staff on MOPO technology and data platforms.
• Analyse operational data to drive performance decisions.
• Negotiate with community leaders, government officials and business partners to secure favourable terms.
• Manage installation engineers and other field teams.
• Communicate with Mobile Power colleagues in the UK, Nigeria and Sierra Leone to share best practices.
• Maintain inventory of equipment, tools and materials.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years in a leadership role.
• At least 4 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Over 3 years of experience installing and maintaining solar systems.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and French.
• Highly numerate, able to solve complex practical and abstract problems.
