Humanitarian Access Officer

About the role

The Humanitarian Access Officer will operationalise WFP’s Access and Conflict Sensitivity Strategy in Eastern DRC, ensuring safe, timely and sustainable access to populations in need. The role supports WFP and its partners through analysis, engagement, coordination and the integration of conflict‑sensitive approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Operationalise WFP’s Access and Conflict Sensitivity Strategy at field level.
• Maintain safe, timely and sustainable access to affected populations.
• Conduct analysis of access constraints and humanitarian needs.
• Engage with partners, authorities and local stakeholders to facilitate access.
• Coordinate humanitarian activities and ensure integration of conflict‑sensitive approaches.

Required profile

• Experience in humanitarian access, conflict sensitivity and coordination.
• Ability to work in a deteriorating security environment.
• Strong analytical and engagement skills.
