Information Management Officer (Temporary) – Kinshasa

About the role

The Information Management Officer will support UNICEF's nutrition programmes in the Democratic Republic of Congo by ensuring that nutrition data is collected, validated, analysed and turned into actionable insights. Working under the Nutrition Specialist, the officer will optimise existing data systems and develop dashboards to inform decision‑making and demonstrate impact.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, organise and validate nutrition data from field tools such as KoboToolBox, SINUT and DHIS2.
• Perform quality control, analysis and synthesis of data to produce reliable information products.
• Develop analytical dashboards and visualisations to support programme planning and resource optimisation.
• Provide decision‑making support through strategic use of nutrition data.
• Build capacity of staff and partners in data collection, management and use.
• Produce information management products, ensure quality assurance and coordinate with relevant units.
• Utilise GIS for spatial analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in information management or a related field.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in developing, implementing, maintaining and evaluating information management systems.
• Knowledge of Management Information Systems (MIS) and experience working in multicultural environments.
• Fluency in English and French; additional UN language or local language is a plus.
• Previous experience in the DRC or with a UN agency, especially UNICEF, is advantageous.
