Logistics Manager

About the role

Medair is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead logistical support for its emergency programmes in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. The role provides strategic direction, management and evaluation of the logistics department, ensuring that programme objectives are met through efficient supply chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for compliant and effective supply chain management across procurement, logistics, fleet, facilities and asset management.
• Support project managers with procurement planning, identify optimal supply routes and maintain an up‑to‑date overview of supply needs.
• Ensure all logistics activities comply with Medair, donor, national and international regulations, and implement anti‑fraud controls.
• Line‑manage the logistics team, fostering performance, capacity building and an inclusive work environment.
• Engage proactively with suppliers, partners, local authorities, NGOs and clusters to coordinate distribution of goods and materials.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in logistics or a related field.
• Management experience in a similar role within an emergency or development context.
• Fluency in French and English.
