MEAL Officer – Monitoring & Evaluation for Food Security Program

About the role

The MEAL Officer will support the TUDIENZELE food‑security program funded by BHA USAID. Based in Tshikapa, Kasaï province, the role focuses on monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning to improve project outcomes for vulnerable households.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain MEAL tools, data collection instruments and a robust monitoring‑evaluation system.
• Support data collection, analysis and reporting to generate learning and accountability outputs.
• Maintain and update indicator results frameworks and conduct regular data quality assessments.
• Provide timely alerts on operational issues, risks and corrective actions.
• Review monthly progress reports from partners, ensure evidence‑based reporting and contribute to quarterly and annual project reports.
• Integrate cross‑cutting issues such as gender, age and disability into monitoring activities.

Required profile

• Experience in humanitarian monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning.
• Familiarity with M&E frameworks and humanitarian indicators.
• Ability to work collaboratively with program officers, partners and donors.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to data quality.
