About the role
The MERL Manager will lead monitoring, evaluation, reporting and learning functions for IMA World Health’s integrated MNCH and Protection programme in conflict‑affected North Kivu. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the role designs data systems, ensures high‑quality data collection, and supports learning to improve programme quality.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the MERL framework, indicator reference sheets and data collection tools for MNCH, GBV/CP, IPC and outreach activities.
- Train facility staff, case managers, CHWs and mobile teams on data collection, reporting and confidentiality protocols.
- Oversee collection, verification and analysis of service data across six facilities and multiple IDP sites, including MNCH outcomes, GBV/CP case management and mobile clinic activities.
- Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, maintain dashboards and ensure donor compliance and data protection standards.
- Facilitate learning reviews, document lessons learned and coordinate data sharing with MoH, Protection and Health clusters.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, epidemiology, statistics, social sciences, data science or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in monitoring, evaluation, reporting and learning for humanitarian health or protection programmes.
- Proven ability to design and manage data systems in complex, conflict‑affected settings.
Required skills
- DHIS2 or national HMIS data management.
- Data analysis and data visualization.
- Indicator tracking and dashboard creation.
