Monitoring & Data Infrastructure Expert – DRC

About the role

Montrose is seeking a Monitoring and Data Infrastructure Expert to support the British Embassy Kinshasa’s health and education programmes in the Kasai province of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role involves independent third‑party monitoring, baseline research and data analysis to help the FCDO and other stakeholders make evidence‑based decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess health and education facilities in Kasai province.
• Design and conduct baseline research studies for the SEMI and AXE‑FILLEs programmes.
• Collect, clean and analyse quantitative and qualitative data.
• Produce high‑quality review reports and evidence briefs for the FCDO.
• Liaise with the Ministry of Health, provincial health divisions (DPS) and provincial education authorities (PROVED).
• Provide insights on women and girls’ outcomes to inform programme adjustments.

Required profile

• Degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience monitoring infrastructure in health and education settings.
• Experience working with the Ministry of Health, DPS and PROVED in the DRC.
• Mandatory experience with FCDO‑funded projects.
• Background in women and girls’ research or knowledge.
• Fluent in French and English.
