National Movement Operations Officer (Field Support)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking a National Movement Operations Officer to provide field support in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the Senior Protection Coordinator, the officer will ensure the smooth delivery of migration‑related services and airport operations for individuals under IOM’s care.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise up to three field teams delivering movement support activities in Kinshasa.
• Lead staff development processes, including recruitment, training, task assignment and performance feedback.
• Monitor work schedules, validate hours and coordinate financial paperwork with the IOM finance department.
• Manage airport services for arriving and departing migrants and refugees, covering documentation, luggage handling, escorts and related logistics.
• Ensure compliance with framework agreements with resettlement and receiving governments.

Required profile

• Experience in field‑based migration or humanitarian operations.
• Proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of airport and logistics procedures for vulnerable populations.
• Excellent coordination skills with government, inter‑governmental and non‑governmental partners.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
