Product Support Technician – Mining Equipment

About the role

As a Product Support Technician on the Kamoa site, you will ensure the reliability and performance of Sandvik mining equipment through maintenance, repairs, and technical support both in the workshop and at customer locations. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver high‑quality service and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mining equipment, including second‑line root‑cause analysis.
• Execute system adjustments, commissioning, and product testing.
• Support new product introductions, upgrades, and phase‑out of legacy equipment.
• Provide aftermarket technical support to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Collect and report technical feedback to improve products and processes.
• Deliver technical training, coaching, and knowledge transfer.
• Identify recurring issues and develop proactive solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Sandvik SHEQ standards and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or Trade Certificate in Engineering or a related field.
• 4–6+ years of experience in mining equipment maintenance (surface or underground).
• Experience with Sandvik or similar OEM equipment is an advantage.
• Fluency in English and French.
