Program Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Program Coordinator to join our team in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The role will support the implementation and management of AVSI’s portfolio of grants, ensuring high‑quality delivery of humanitarian and development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of project activities in line with approved proposals, budgets and timelines.
• Manage grant administration, including reviewing funding requests, monitoring budgets and preparing financial reports.
• Coordinate reporting to donors, local authorities and AVSI headquarters, ensuring compliance with procedures.
• Identify and develop new funding opportunities with existing and potential donors.
• Promote synergy between AVSI programmes and other national or international interventions.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments and with regional staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience in programme or grant management within an international NGO.
• Strong understanding of donor reporting requirements and financial planning.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• High level of confidentiality and professional conduct.
