Programme Support Unit Coordinator (P)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Programme Support Unit Coordinator to lead the day‑to‑day operations of its Programme Support Unit. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and working closely with unit heads and the Regional Office for Southern Africa, the coordinator will ensure projects are conceptualised, funded, monitored and communicated in line with IOM’s strategic frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise PSU staff and guide reporting, concept note and proposal development.
• Oversee monitoring and evaluation activities, ensuring alignment with IOM and UN sustainable development frameworks.
• Coordinate fundraising efforts, map donor opportunities and support the creation of new programmes.
• Facilitate internal and external communication for IOM projects and programmes.
• Ensure all activities comply with country and regional strategies and the global Strategic Results Framework.

Required profile

• Open to first‑tier candidates (internal staff or nationals of non‑represented IOM Member States) and second‑tier external candidates.
• Preference for qualified female applicants.
• Demonstrated experience in programme coordination, project management and fundraising within an international or UN‑related context.
