Project Engineer – Quality Assurance (Telecom Infrastructure)

About the role

As a Project Engineer – Quality Assurance you will ensure the successful delivery of telecom infrastructure projects for Helios Towers in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will translate approved project scope into executable site activities while maintaining strict compliance with quality, technical, and health & safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Validate that project scope is accurately reflected in the Project Design Pack (tower, power, layout) and approve design packs, BoM and BoQ.
• Confirm conformity of designs with Helios Towers technical specifications, installation manuals and customer requirements.
• Execute quality control activities and conduct quality assurance reviews of both Helios Towers and customer works on site.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of As‑Built documentation submitted by subcontractors and clients.
• Train subcontractors on Helios Towers installation standards and QA processes.
• Review subcontractor risk assessments and method statements for H&S compliance.
• Verify ICNIRP compliance in designs and installations and carry out on‑site H&S inspections.
• Act as the onsite point of contact for subcontractors, schedule inspections, testing and commissioning, and manage site access.
• Maintain subcontractor quality performance records, identify and close snags, and escalate risks or scope deviations.

Required profile

• Experience in project engineering and quality assurance within telecom infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of technical specifications, installation standards and health & safety regulations.
• Ability to work onsite across Kinshasa and provincial regions, coordinating with multiple subcontractors.
