About the role

The Protection Specialist (VBG) will support INTERSOS' protection programme in Bunia, with frequent missions to North‑Kivu. Working under the UNFPA Project Manager and the Protection Coordinator, the role focuses on gender‑based violence within the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

Key responsibilities

Assist in the implementation of protection activities targeting gender‑based violence.
Support monitoring, data collection and reporting on VBG incidents.
Coordinate with UNFPA, local partners and other stakeholders to ensure effective response.
Contribute to the preparation of project documents and field assessments.

Required profile

Relevant experience in protection and gender‑based violence in humanitarian settings.
Ability to work in challenging environments and travel frequently to North‑Kivu.
Fluency in French and English.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
