Quality Controller – Bridge Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Quality Controller to join our Balance Cantilever Bridge project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Reporting to the Quality Manager and Project Manager, you will ensure that all construction activities meet approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control quality of all bridge construction activities, including concrete production, placement, curing, and formwork.
• Maintain and update quality testing reports, inspection records, material inward/outward logs, and traceability documents.
• Prepare and manage site quality plans, inspection schedules, and checklists for each construction task.
• Conduct daily inspections, MIS submissions, and BBS reconciliation to verify reinforcement quantities.
• Develop project‑specific Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Method Statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
• Coordinate with consultants, engineering teams, and the Quality Manager to resolve non‑conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Train site personnel on approved procedures, method statements, and quality standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 12‑15 years of experience in construction quality control, preferably on bridge or balance cantilever bridge projects.
• Strong knowledge of IS codes, contract specifications, QAP, ITP, and method statements.
• Proven ability to manage documentation, conduct inspections, and lead training sessions.
