Ranch Director – Strategic Turnaround

About the role

The Ranch Director will lead the strategic and operational transformation of a 20,000‑head cattle ranch, shifting from extensive grazing to a disciplined paddock‑based system while improving breeding, health, and data‑driven management.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the transition from open‑range grazing to a structured paddock system, including infrastructure and movement units.
• Establish and enforce protocols to meet elite targets for neonatal survival, calving percentages, weaning weights, and body‑condition scores.
• Standardize veterinary and bio‑security procedures, ensuring compliance with vaccination, dipping, and culling schedules.
• Translate field data into executive reports and oversee the rollout of a Ranching ERP for accurate data collection and analytics.
• Manage logistics for feed, supplements, veterinary medicines, and other inputs; supervise fleet and mechanical asset usage.

Required profile

• Science degree.
