Real Estate Consultant – Investment & Economic Analyst

About the role

The International Engineering Consultancy Company seeks an experienced Real Estate Economist / Investment Consultant to support major building construction projects in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. You will provide strategic economic and investment advice, ensuring projects are financially viable and aligned with market demand.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive real‑estate market research and economic analyses for project planning.
• Prepare bankable feasibility studies, financial models, and investment appraisals for commercial, residential, hospitality, and mixed‑use developments.
• Assess project viability, market demand, development risks, and investment opportunities.
• Advise on project positioning, land‑use strategies, and overall development approaches.
• Evaluate development costs, projected revenues, and key financial performance indicators.
• Ensure compliance with DRC property legislation, planning regulations, and investment frameworks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design and project‑management teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Urban Planning, Business Administration or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional real‑estate certification (e.g., MRICS, RE Valuer License) is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in real‑estate market research, investment analysis or property‑development advisory.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience within the DRC.
• Proven track record preparing bankable feasibility studies and investment appraisals for diverse development types.
• Strong knowledge of DRC property laws, urban‑planning frameworks and investment regulations.
• Registered practitioner holding a recognized professional licence in the DRC.
• Fluency in English; French highly desirable.
