Rebuild Technician

About the role

The Rebuild Technician will join Sandvik's Mining and Construction unit in Lubumbashi, supporting the maintenance and repair of mining equipment and components. You will work on preventive and corrective tasks, ensuring equipment reliability and safety in a demanding mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mining equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
• Assist in inspection, troubleshooting, and repair activities using appropriate tools and procedures.
• Assemble and disassemble components in line with technical requirements.
• Accurately complete work orders, maintenance reports, and technical documentation.
• Maintain records of completed work and support maintenance tracking.
• Collaborate with senior technicians and support teams to ensure efficient execution of tasks.
• Participate in technical training and continuous skills development.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
• Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and promote a “Zero Harm” safety culture.

Required profile

• Congolese citizen with a Technical High School Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in mining, industrial, or heavy‑equipment maintenance environments.
• Solid understanding of basic mechanical, hydraulic, and industrial equipment systems.
• Ability to follow technical procedures, maintenance instructions, and safety requirements.
• Commitment to quality, reliability, and operational excellence.
