Regional Agent Operations Lead – CD

About the role

Wave is expanding its cashless financial services across Africa. The Regional Agent Operations Lead will oversee the acquisition and operational management of Wave’s agent network in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, ensuring growth, compliance and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new agents in target areas, following selection criteria and legal requirements.
• Ensure agents sign valid contracts, receive training on products, KYC and AML/CFT procedures, and are equipped with branding and supplies.
• Monitor cash and e‑value liquidity at agent locations in coordination with regional liquidity teams.
• Conduct risk management, performance monitoring, routine visits and reporting on agent performance.
• Manage agent off‑boarding, equipment retrieval and brand removal.
• Act as the primary point of contact for agent network acquisition and Wave products in the region.
• Promote high‑quality customer service and operational excellence.

Required profile

• 5+ years managing a large regional agent network in mobile money, fintech or telecom within the DRC.
• At least 2 years leading and managing field teams.
• Proven stakeholder‑management and strategic reporting experience.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Work authorization in the DRC and willingness to travel up to 90% of the time.
