Regional Sales Manager – Lubumbashi

About the role

Join BIC World as a Regional Sales Manager responsible for developing BIC sales in the Democratic Republic of Congo, focusing on Lubumbashi and surrounding areas. You will work closely with local distributors and the BIC sales force to achieve sales objectives and market execution standards.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with local distributors to implement route‑to‑market strategies, manage secondary sales, and deliver SFA metrics such as coverage, strike rate and basket size.
• Train and support the local sales team on product knowledge, conduct field visits, and ensure accurate sales forecasts using a 3+3 order processing model.
• Lead distributor relationships, oversee key account management, and follow up on marketing plans with the BIC WACA Marketing Team.
• Collect accounts receivable, manage credit notes, and ensure accurate trade expense reimbursements.
• Conduct regular market intelligence visits to analyse trends, competitive pricing, and anti‑counterfeiting measures.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of sales management or business development experience in FMCG or consumer goods within the DRC, preferably in the Lubumbashi region.
• Strong negotiation, business acumen and ability to work autonomously with rigorous reporting.
• Fluent in French and English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel intensively (≈70% field work).
