RF Network Optimization Manager

About the role

The RF Network Optimization Manager will lead the wireless network optimisation team in Kinshasa, delivering high‑quality optimisation services across GSM, UMTS, LTE and NR (5G) networks. The role combines technical expertise, KPI analysis, customer communication and project management to continuously improve network performance and user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the wireless network optimisation team to meet KPI targets and project objectives.
• Develop and execute optimisation plans for GSM, UMTS, LTE and NR (5G) networks.
• Monitor and analyse network KPIs, identify performance degradation and implement corrective actions.
• Perform cluster optimisation, single‑site verification, acceptance support and special optimisation activities.
• Execute parameter, neighbor‑relation, mobility, interference, coverage and capacity optimisation.
• Analyse OSS counters, drive‑test logs, MDT/MR data and customer complaints to pinpoint root causes.
• Coordinate with RF Planning, RAN Delivery, Transmission, Core Network and Field Maintenance teams.
• Prepare optimisation reports, KPI analyses, customer presentations and technical documentation.
• Support network expansion, modernisation, new feature verification and software upgrades.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and performance management for optimisation engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in wireless network optimisation, including 3+ years in a management role.
• Strong knowledge of GSM, UMTS, LTE and NR (5G) radio access networks.
• Deep understanding of RF optimisation, mobility management, PCI optimisation, ANR, load balancing, MRO and interference mitigation.
• Proven experience analysing KPIs such as Accessibility, Retainability, Mobility, Integrity, Availability, VoLTE and Data Performance.
