Senior Civil Engineer – Telecom Infrastructure

About the role

Africell is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its technical team in Kinshasha, DRC. You will lead civil and structural assessments for telecom sites, design solutions, and support cost‑effective implementation of infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structural assessments of rooftop buildings and existing telecom structures.
• Coordinate soil investigations for greenfield sites and evaluate loading capacity for towers, shelters and equipment.
• Prepare and review AutoCAD drawings, tower foundation designs and structural calculations.
• Develop Bills of Quantities, cost estimates and budget recommendations; review contractor quotations.
• Support site acquisition by validating civil feasibility and identifying construction constraints.
• Supervise civil works, monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and HSE standards.
• Produce technical reports, maintain project documentation and provide progress updates to the NIS Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; professional engineering certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering, telecom infrastructure or construction projects.
• Proven experience with telecom tower foundations, rooftop assessments and structural engineering.
