Senior Manager, Business Intelligence & Commercial Performance

About the role

The Senior Manager, Business Intelligence & Commercial Performance will lead data‑driven commercial performance management for Vodacom's Business Unit. You will integrate advanced analytics, business intelligence, and financial insights to align commercial strategy with financial outcomes and drive revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute the Business Intelligence strategy, creating and enhancing dashboards and automated reports using Power BI and Tableau.
• Translate complex data sets into actionable insights that support commercial strategy, sales execution, and operational efficiency.
• Establish data‑governance frameworks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting platforms.
• Promote self‑service analytics and identify automation opportunities to improve reporting efficiency.
• Track performance across Enterprise, SME, and Wholesale segments, monitoring KPIs such as revenue, margin, pipeline conversion, and retention.
• Prepare and present weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis in close collaboration with Finance.
• Develop business cases for new products, pricing strategies and investment decisions.
• Provide analytical support for sales performance frameworks and incentive structures.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in business intelligence, advanced analytics and commercial performance management.
• Strong background in financial planning, budgeting and variance analysis.
• Ability to communicate complex insights to senior leadership and influence decision‑making.
• Experience working in a telecom or similar fast‑moving commercial environment.
