Senior Officer – Auto Electrical Training

About the role

The Senior Officer, Auto Electrical Training will design, deliver and oversee artisan training programmes for auto‑electrical trades at the Kamoa Copper Mine. This role ensures that training aligns with engineering SOPs and supports safe, efficient use of mining equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive auto‑electrical training programmes for artisans.
• Conduct classroom and on‑site practical training for newly recruited learners.
• Monitor and follow up on on‑site training performance and competency development.
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across functional teams.
• Coordinate, supervise and evaluate the performance of direct reports.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and support the mine’s transformation agenda.
• Promote a Zero‑Harm workplace and ensure compliance with HSEQ standards.
• Maintain accurate reporting and governance documentation.

Required profile

• Trade Tested Certificate as an Auto Electrician.
• Assessor Certification and Facilitation Qualification.
• Minimum 8 years post‑qualification experience as an Auto Electrician, with at least 3 years supervisory experience in a mining environment.
• At least 3 years experience as a trainer/facilitator.
• Proficiency in business English; French or Swahili is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Club BTP & CMA standards.
• Familiarity with Engineering Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Understanding of DRC labour legislation.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Experience using JDE, STGIsometrics and SAGE systems.
