Senior Officer, Scheduler

About the role

The Kamoa Copper Mine is seeking a Senior Officer, Scheduler to ensure contractor schedules and work progress align with the master schedule and Kamoa standards. You will play a key part in coordinating construction planning, monitoring progress, and supporting cost‑efficient delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, track and report on contractor project planning activities.
• Forecast and monitor construction progress, advising on schedule changes.
• Provide regular reports and feedback to Construction Managers and Project Managers.
• Integrate HSEQ requirements into all scheduling processes.
• Monitor costs to achieve efficiencies and reduce waste.
• Build relationships across teams to enhance collaboration and innovation.
• Support skills transfer and transformation within the project team.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in project management or equivalent.
• Project management certification with Primavera qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction project planning.
• Business‑level English; French and Swahili are advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and technical orientation.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and culturally sensitive.

Required skills

• Primavera (or equivalent scheduling software).
• MS Excel and general MS Office proficiency.
• Construction process sequencing knowledge.
• Project estimating principles (time and cost).
• Project budgeting and costing expertise.
• Understanding of all construction disciplines.
