Senior Regional Advisor

About the role

The Senior Regional Advisor (SRA) will support the management and representation of the humanitarian portfolio for the BHA Central Africa Sub‑Regional Office, primarily focusing on the Democratic Republic of Congo while also assisting programs in the Central African Republic and Republic of Congo.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct program analysis and develop strategic plans for humanitarian assistance.
• Coordinate with relief agencies, donors, USG interagency partners, host governments, UN agencies, NGOs, and U.S. military representatives.
• Maintain close collaboration with USAID, Embassy staff, and regional offices across Central Africa.
• Represent the senior BHA official in crisis situations and may lead response planning.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Embassy security guidelines and operate effectively in challenging environments.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in humanitarian program coordination and strategy development.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including government and international partners.
• Willingness to work in restrictive and security‑sensitive settings.
• Strong analytical and leadership capabilities.
