SHEQ Advisor

About the role

The SHEQ Advisor will support the implementation of Helios Towers’ SHEQ strategy across the operating company and its supply‑chain partners in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Reporting to the OpCo SHEQ Manager, the role focuses on risk management, compliance and continuous improvement of safety, health, environment and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing, reviewing and updating internal SHEQ policies and processes in line with industry best practice.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation actions across all business areas.
• Perform scheduled and ad‑hoc site and office inspections to verify compliance by staff, suppliers and customers.
• Report non‑conformances, drive corrective actions and support continuous performance improvement.
• Maintain accurate SHEQ reporting, data collection, quality assurance and document control.
• Facilitate ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certification activities.
• Support the design and delivery of SHEQ training and monitor training progress.
• Lead investigations and audits, identify root causes and propose preventive measures.
• Assist the OpCo SHEQ Manager with group‑wide campaigns and initiatives.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards.

• Competence in conducting SHEQ inspections, audits and investigations.
• Ability to manage SHEQ data collection, reporting and document control.
