Strategic Asset Management Lead

About the role

As the Strategic Asset Management Lead you will establish and grow WSP Africa’s Strategic Asset Management advisory capability within the Property & Buildings Advisory Services practice. You will help clients across Africa maximise the value, performance and sustainability of their physical assets through executive‑level advisory.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and expansion of the Strategic Asset Management service line across Africa.
• Design and deliver advisory solutions covering asset strategy, portfolio optimisation, lifecycle planning, operational readiness, maintenance strategy, asset intelligence, risk management and ISO 55000‑aligned management systems.
• Work closely with asset owners, investors, operators, government entities and infrastructure organisations as a trusted executive advisor.
• Implement the service line within WSP’s Advisory Services roadmap and grow a sustainable portfolio of consulting engagements.
• Collaborate with Sustainability, Digital, Asset Intelligence and Transaction Advisory teams to create integrated solutions.
• Build, mentor and lead a high‑performing advisory team, fostering technical excellence and innovation.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in strategic asset management or related consulting.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence executive‑level stakeholders.
• Track record of developing and scaling advisory services.
