Structural Engineer

About the role

WSP is looking for a qualified Structural Engineer to join its multidisciplinary consulting team in Africa. You will deliver structural solutions, manage projects and ensure high‑quality technical outputs across a range of client assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage structural engineering projects, including reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Lead small design teams, monitor progress and ensure deadlines are met.
• Prepare and present technical reports that comply with ISO quality standards.
• Act as a liaison between clients, project teams and construction crews.
• Model and promote health, safety, environmental and quality (SHEQ) standards to achieve Zero Harm.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience; PR Eng registration or eligibility preferred.
• Civil engineering or project management experience considered advantageous.
• Proven ability to deliver in deadline‑driven environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a client‑focused attitude.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
