Superintendent I, Contracts Administration

About the role

The Superintendent I, Contracts Administration will lead the management of all commercial contracts for the Kipushi mining project in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure contracts are drafted, negotiated, reviewed and complied with, supporting the project’s operational and commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and review commercial contracts with vendors, partners and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate contract records and documentation throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Collaborate with mining, engineering, finance and legal teams to align contract terms with project requirements.
• Provide guidance and training on contract compliance and best practices.
• Prepare regular reports on contract status, risks and performance.
• Support senior management in contract negotiations and execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of operational and project experience, including at least 2 years in a management role.
• Experience in the mining industry is advantageous.
• 2‑5 years of direct contract or commercial management experience.
• Strong understanding of contract law and commercial principles.
• Fluency in English; French proficiency is beneficial.

Required skills

• Proficiency with contract management software.
• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
