About the role
The Superintendent III, Mining Best Practice will lead the design, delivery and evaluation of critical underground mining training programmes at Kamoa Copper Mine. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure that training aligns with the mine’s transformation strategy and operational skill needs.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement and coordinate comprehensive mining training programmes for underground personnel.
- Manage a team of trainers and oversee best‑practice delivery of training and assessments on site.
- Schedule and monitor training effectiveness, including induction, safety representative, miner, production supervisor, foreman and mine overseer courses.
- Coordinate surface mock‑up training sessions and support external training providers.
- Maintain stakeholder relationships and ensure compliance with national mining and labour legislation.
Required profile
- Degree or Diploma in HR or Training.
- Mine Overseer Certificate of Competence, Blasting Certificate, Assessor and Moderator Certificate.
- 8‑10 years of experience in underground mechanised mining, with at least 4 years as a Mine Overseer.
- 5+ years delivering mining training in an underground mechanised environment.
- Fluent business English; French and Swahili are highly advantageous.
