Supply Associate – Emergency Procurement (6‑month TA)

About the role

The Supply Associate supports UNICEF’s emergency response to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo, handling complex procurement and contracting tasks. Working under the Supply Officer, the role requires independent end‑to‑end procurement processes and may involve supervising junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement and contracting activities.
• Manage procurement services and supply financing where applicable.
• Coordinate localization and emergency preparedness measures.
• Oversee information, data management and reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education with at least six years of relevant logistics, warehousing, transport or supply chain experience (a bachelor’s degree can replace three years of experience).
• Demonstrated ability to apply UNICEF or comparable logistics and supply rules to complex cases, with experience using ERP systems (VISION/SAP) and MS Office.
• Fluency in French is required.

Required skills

• ERP systems – VISION/SAP supply and logistics modules.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• CIPS certification (preferred).
