Systems Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Systems Accountant to lead the design, implementation and roll‑out of Dynamics 365 Business Central across International Alert’s global finance network. Working closely with senior finance teams, IT colleagues and country‑office finance managers, you will ensure the finance system supports efficient budgeting, reporting and accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and global deployment of Dynamics 365 Business Central, including user access controls, segregation of duties, month‑end and year‑end processes, workflows, general ledger, budget ledger and job costing modules.
• Manage external consultants during scoping, design and implementation phases.
• Define rollout plans for all country offices, coordinate training, testing and dual‑run transition.
• Design and deliver reporting solutions for programme delivery and finance teams.
• Integrate project management and fundraising data, migrate data from the existing PROMPT system.
• Oversee adoption of timesheets, maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Provide post‑implementation support and continuous system enhancements.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with extensive experience in complex Business Central or similar ERP environments.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale finance system implementations.
• Solutions‑oriented self‑starter with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to work with finance, IT and programme stakeholders.
