Team Leader – Green Growth Programme Component 3 (DRC)

About the role

The Team Leader will drive the implementation of Component 3 of the Green Growth Programme (GGP) in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This role focuses on scaling finance for climate‑smart agribusinesses across Kongo Central, Kwilu, Mai‑Ndombe and Kwango provinces, supporting the development of innovative financial products and attracting private investment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, rollout and monitoring of financial assistance mechanisms, including catalytic grants and concessional finance.
• Coordinate with financial institutions, impact funds and agribusiness partners to develop and promote climate‑smart financing solutions.
• Oversee the development of tools, processes and systems that enable appropriate financial products for the target provinces.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and produce regular progress and financial reports.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including government agencies, NGOs and local communities, to promote sustainable agricultural development.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing finance‑related programmes or projects, preferably in agribusiness or climate‑smart agriculture.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, grant management and private capital mobilisation.
• Experience working in the DRC or similar low‑resource, multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑management abilities.
