Trade Operations Manager – Commodity Trading

About the role

Auremin is seeking a Trade Operations Manager to lead end‑to‑end execution of physical commodity trades across the DRC, Tanzania, Kenya and other regional markets. The role combines logistics oversight, operational control and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee trade execution from contract handover to final delivery.
• Manage logistics, inventory, customs clearance and service providers.
• Strengthen operational controls, documentation and reporting.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and improve delivery performance.
• Lead regional teams and drive continuous process improvement.
• Collaborate with technology teams to enhance tracking and reporting through AI and automation.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in physical commodity trading operations, logistics or supply chain management.
• At least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong operational experience in the DRC and other African markets.
• Practical knowledge of regional transport corridors, customs procedures, Incoterms and trade documentation.
• Professional proficiency in English and French.
• Willingness to be based in Lubumbashi and travel across the region.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience with CTRM or trade management platforms.
