Vodashop Assistant

About the role

The Vodashop Assistant supports the smooth operation of a Vodacom retail outlet, delivering excellent customer service while handling sales, cash, Mpesa transactions and stock management. You will be the front‑line representative of the Vodacom brand, ensuring every visitor leaves satisfied.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile, understand their needs and promote relevant products and services.
• Achieve store sales and quality targets by actively selling and upselling.
• Manage stock levels, conduct weekly and monthly stock takes, and ensure accurate invoicing.
• Handle cash, manual invoices and Mpesa transactions, performing daily reconciliations and reporting.
• Maintain store presentation according to brand guidelines and ensure readiness for mystery shopper visits.
• Resolve customer queries at first contact using CRM tools and ensure customers are activated and registered before leaving.

Required profile

• Professional appearance, friendly demeanor and punctuality.
• High integrity when handling cash, stock and customer information.
• Ability to meet service level agreements, such as serving customers within 2‑5 minutes.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM applications.
• Experience using POS (point‑of‑sale) systems.
• Familiarity with Mpesa or similar mobile money platforms.
• Basic stock‑management procedures.
