Backend Software Developer – AI & Microservices

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Software Developer to join our team building the iPECS‑ONE UC system. You will work on cutting‑edge AI and micro‑services solutions that power call, chat, and collaboration services for global customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable core backend components using a micro‑services architecture.
• Develop GenAI chatbot services, including real‑time call summarisation and AI assistant functions, by integrating LLMs such as OpenAI or Gemini in a Node.js environment.
• Build AI data pipelines and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems with vector databases.
• Maintain high‑performance web services and RESTful APIs.
• Work with Node.js, Docker, Linux, and database environments, performing open‑source analysis and debugging.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.
• Hands‑on experience building RAG‑based chatbots and hybrid rule‑based/LLM solutions.
• Ability to optimise database queries and handle high‑volume traffic in enterprise environments.
