Chief of Staff – DRC Country Manager

About the role

BURN is looking for a proactive Chief of Staff to partner with the DRC Country Manager. This role goes beyond traditional administrative support, acting as a hands‑on driver of strategy execution, project delivery and cross‑functional coordination to boost commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Country Manager to develop, track and align short‑ and long‑term country plans with BURN’s commercial strategy.
• Conduct research, design projects and provide thought partnership for strategic decisions, delivering structured recommendations on growth, market expansion and operational improvement.
• Lead end‑to‑end execution of key country initiatives, managing timelines, deliverables, KPIs, budgets and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives, streamline processes and ensure clear ownership across departments.
• Manage the executive calendar, meetings, travel logistics and follow‑up on action items.
• Serve as liaison between the Country Manager, internal teams and external partners, representing the manager in select meetings and summarising outcomes.
• Prepare presentations, reports and communications for internal and external audiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in project management, commercial operations or business operations.
• Strong analytical ability to review performance data and identify revenue‑enhancing opportunities.
