Duty Supervisor – Airport Operations

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a Duty Supervisor to lead airport operations on a shift basis in Lubumbashi. You will be responsible for coordinating passenger and aircraft handling, ensuring safety, security, and service standards are met while supporting the airline’s reputation for excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all passenger and aircraft handling activities, adhering to checklists, brand standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage safety and security outcomes, conduct hazard identification, and report incidents.
• Coordinate VIP/MAAS, PRM, and special guest requirements, including flight editing and special category handling.
• Liaise with Guest Control, Network Control, and SOC to mitigate operational disruptions.
• Execute emergency response, disruption planning, diversion handling, and business continuity procedures.
• Drive on‑time performance, delay mitigation, and accurate reporting.
• Promote and monitor ancillary sales, ensuring process compliance and target achievement.
• Maintain customer service standards, track KPIs, and ensure compliance with local authority documentation.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education or equivalent industry experience.
• 5‑7 years of experience in service, hospitality, airline, or retail environments with aviation knowledge.
• Proven supervisory experience in a high‑pressure, multicultural shift setting.
• Strong communication, decision‑making, and leadership abilities.
