Finance Manager – Kinshasa, DRC

About the role

The Finance Manager will ensure strong financial stewardship, accountability and risk management for the Country Program in Kinshasa. Working closely with the Head of Operations, the role supports high‑quality programs for vulnerable populations while maintaining compliance with CRS policies, donor regulations and local laws.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage financial processes in line with policies, local regulations and GAAP.
• Provide proactive financial advice and support throughout the project cycle, from design to close‑out.
• Lead budget development, monitoring and reporting for annual program plans and project budgets.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, ensure quality control and create reliable audit trails.
• Prepare financial analyses, projections and risk assessments to inform leadership decisions.
• Manage and develop the finance team, including coaching, performance reviews and staff well‑being.
• Oversee timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assess and strengthen the financial management capacity of staff and sub‑recipients.
• Address audit findings promptly and sustainably.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent qualification (CPA/ACCA preferred).
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a comparable finance role.
• Extensive experience in budgeting, expense analysis and accounting.
