IBDP Mathematics Faculty (with MYP Physics) – Lubumbashi

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IBDP Mathematics teacher to join a reputable international school in Lubumbashi, DRC. The successful candidate will deliver the IB Diploma Programme mathematics curriculum and, when needed, teach MYP Physics, supporting a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver inquiry‑driven mathematics lessons aligned with IB standards.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations.
• Design and grade assessments, assignments and laboratory activities.
• Maintain accurate academic records and monitor student progress.
• Provide academic mentorship and support to students.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
• Teach MYP Physics classes as required.
• Participate in parent‑teacher meetings, professional development and school events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of teaching experience, preferably within the IB framework.
• Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms and foster student‑centered learning.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• International school experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in delivering the IB Diploma Programme mathematics curriculum.
• Ability to teach MYP Physics (preferred).
