Medical Coordinator

About the role

The Medical Coordinator works closely with the Head of Mission to lead MAGNA’s health programmes in a country, from project design through implementation. This position ensures that medical activities are relevant, high‑quality and aligned with the organisation’s objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise medical project coordinators and collaborate with logistics, financial and HR coordinators.
• Propose and collect medical indicators, analyse data, produce reports and adapt strategies.
• Organise implementation of medical activities, ensure proper use and maintenance of diagnostic, clinical and therapeutic tools, and manage pharmacy consumption.
• Lead recruitment, team composition and training of medical staff, validate skill profiles and oversee supervision of project coordinators.
• Represent MAGNA with national authorities, NGOs, UN agencies and other partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months experience in humanitarian aid, medical or paramedical roles.
• Background in public health, epidemiology, tropical medicine or disaster medicine (e.g., HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis).
• Fluent English and proficiency in the mission language.
• Availability for at least a 6‑month assignment.

Required skills

• Experience managing relationships with national authorities and international partners.
• Ability to coordinate medical emergency responses.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy awareness.
• Capacity to work in multicultural teams, organise workload and take initiative.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term contract with a monthly salary ranging from €2,553 to €2,809, depending on experience.
