Protection Project Coordinator – North Kivu, DRC (French speaking)

About the role

DanChurchAid is seeking an experienced Protection Project Coordinator to lead the implementation of ECHO‑ and US OCHA‑funded projects in the Mweso and Kayna health zones of North Kivu, DRC. The role is based in Mweso and reports to the Area Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation and monitoring of ECHO‑ and US OCHA‑funded protection projects in the Mweso and Kayna health zones.
• Manage project resources, including budgets, staff and materials, to ensure delivery within scope and budget.
• Monitor progress, evaluate results and produce regular reports that meet donor and DCA requirements.
• Ensure quality, harmonisation and protection integration across sectors and operational areas.
• Adapt project activities to the local context while maintaining high standards of accountability and performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating protection‑focused humanitarian projects in conflict‑affected settings.
• Fluency in French and working knowledge of English.
• Ability to work under the supervision of an Area Manager and collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Willingness to be based in Mweso, North Kivu and travel within the project area.
