Senior Officer, Supply Chain

About the role

The Senior Officer, Supply Chain provides strategic leadership for end‑to‑end logistics and supply chain services that enable timely, efficient, and accountable delivery of humanitarian assistance across the IFRC Kinshasa Delegation. Based in Kinshasa, the role supports National Red Cross Societies and IFRC programmes throughout the region, with frequent deployments as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with IFRC policies and humanitarian objectives.
• Oversee procurement, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution of relief items.
• Coordinate logistics operations with the Disaster Risk Management Coordinator and the Head of Global Humanitarian Services & Supply Chain Management.
• Ensure compliance with IFRC standards, child safeguarding principles, and zero‑tolerance policies.
• Monitor and report on supply chain performance, risks, and cost‑effectiveness.
• Support emergency response planning and execution across the four‑country delegation.

Required profile

• Significant experience in humanitarian logistics or supply chain management.
• Proven ability to work in multi‑country, high‑pressure environments.
• Strong understanding of IFRC operational frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Willingness to travel frequently and deploy to field locations.
