Senior Program Manager – Humanitarian Projects

About the role

Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead and strengthen humanitarian projects in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The role combines Christ‑centered leadership with operational oversight to ensure programs are delivered efficiently, ethically, and with high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Christ‑focused leadership to Program Managers, guiding them to meet objectives on time, within budget, and with attention to staff well‑being.
• Lead development, review, and finalization of concept papers, proposals, and program plans aligned with best practices.
• Oversee financial stewardship by reviewing reports, analyzing expenditures, and advising on cost‑effective actions.
• Coordinate with supply‑chain, logistics, fleet, and other support units to resolve operational needs.
• Ensure clear communication and reporting to senior leadership, donors, and headquarters.
• Conduct field visits to support staff, address challenges, and identify opportunities for program expansion.
• Represent Samaritan's Purse DRC with government bodies, UN agencies, NGOs, INGOs, and donors to foster collaboration.

Required profile

• Strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and ability to serve as a consistent witness.
• Demonstrated leadership in humanitarian or development settings.
• Experience in program design, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
• Proven financial management and operational oversight skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
