Supply Associate – Emergency Procurement for Ebola Response

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Supply Associate to support the emergency procurement and supply operations for the Ebola outbreak response in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role will be based in Bunia and will work closely with the Ministry of Health and national IPC coordination mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes for emergency supplies, including sourcing, contracting and delivery.
• Handle complex procurement and contracting cases, evaluating difficult situations and adapting procedures as needed.
• Contribute to the design and development of improved supply services and delivery mechanisms.
• Coordinate with humanitarian partners and national authorities to ensure timely and effective supply of essential items.
• Supervise lower‑level staff where required.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary education.
• Professional or university courses related to supply chain management, procurement or a related field.
• Experience in procurement or supply chain activities, preferably in humanitarian or emergency contexts.
